Yes. The obesity medicine consultation is an insured consultation, billed to OHIP exactly like any other consult in this clinic. The referral never routes into any paid service.
A consultation must be referred by a physician or nurse practitioner to be insured by OHIP. Patients who approach us directly are asked for their family physician’s details so that we can request a referral, and we will not proceed without it.
