Marcello Schmidt, MD MSc FRCPC
Dr. Schmidt is trained in Internal Medicine and Adult Critical Care Medicine, holding a Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians in both specialties. He is an Internist and Intensivist and the Chief of Internal Medicine at Guelph General Hospital. He has been working on expanding the services the department offers to the population of Guelph and the surrounding area, and he was instrumental in establishing a General Internal Medicine Inpatient Consultation Team and the Rapid Access Clinic at GGH. His passions include strength training, health promotion and healthspan optimization through smart lifestyle choices.
